Studio Policies
Studio Policies Important Notice
These Studio Policies apply to all clients, members, guests, visitors, and participants of Crown Control Pilates, operated by SK Pilates LLC. By creating an account, booking, purchasing, attending, or using Studio services, you agree to comply with these policies. These policies are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, consistent, and premium studio experience. Specific membership or purchase terms may also apply depending on the package, class, promotion, membership, or service purchased.
1. Class Reservations and Booking
Advance booking is recommended because class sizes are limited. Clients are responsible for booking classes through the Studio app, website, or approved booking platform and for confirming the correct date, time, location, instructor, and class type.
2. Cancellation Policy
Group class cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled class start time unless otherwise stated in the applicable membership, package, private session, workshop, or promotional terms. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the class credit and/or a late cancellation fee charged to the payment method on file. Cancellation windows and fees may vary by class type, private session, membership, package, event, workshop, or promotion.
3. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a reserved class without canceling within the required cancellation window may result in forfeiture of the class credit and/or a no-show fee charged to the payment method on file. For membership clients, no-show fees may apply even when the class is included in the membership.
4. Private and Semi-Private Session Policies
Private and semi-private sessions may have longer cancellation windows than group classes. Late cancellations or no-shows for private or semi-private sessions may result in session forfeiture and/or a cancellation fee up to the full session price, depending on the applicable purchase terms.
5. Waitlist Policy
Clients may be automatically added to a class from the waitlist when a spot becomes available. If moved from the waitlist into a class, the client is responsible for attending or canceling within the applicable cancellation window. Clients who no longer wish to attend are responsible for removing themselves from the waitlist in a timely manner.
6. Arrival and Late Entry
Clients are advised to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before class start time.
For safety and to preserve the class experience, late entry may not be permitted once class has begun. If late entry is not permitted, the class may be treated as a no-show or late cancellation in accordance with applicable policies.
7. Grip Socks and Attire
Grip socks are required for all reformer and equipment-based classes for safety and hygiene. Clients should wear appropriate athletic attire that allows safe movement and does not interfere with equipment use.
8. Health, Injury and Pregnancy Disclosure
Clients are responsible for informing the instructor before class of injuries, pregnancy, recent surgeries, medical conditions, pain, mobility limitations, or any concern affecting participation. Clients should not attend class if they are ill, contagious, or have been advised not to participate in physical activity.
9. Studio Etiquette and Conduct
Clients must treat instructors, staff, and other clients with courtesy and respect. Disruptive, unsafe, aggressive, discriminatory, harassing, or disrespectful conduct may result in removal from class, suspension, termination of account privileges, and forfeiture of fees where permitted by law. Clients must follow staff instructions, posted signage, and equipment-use guidance at all times.
10. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
11. Children and non-participating guests
Children, minors, and non-participating guests are not permitted in class areas, equipment areas, or unattended in the Studio. Children must remain supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times and may not use Studio equipment unless participating in an authorized Studio program with prior approval and any required parent or guardian consent.
12. Pets and Animals
Animals are not permitted in class areas or equipment areas unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by Studio management.
Any approved animal must remain under control at all times and may not disrupt classes, interfere with Studio operations, create hygiene concerns, interfere with equipment use, or pose a safety risk to clients, staff, or other visitors.
13. Phones, Recording and Personal Photography
Clients are welcome to take photos and videos in the Studio before or after class, provided they do not disrupt Studio operations or the experience of others. Phones should be silenced and stored away during class unless needed for an emergency or approved purpose.
To protect the privacy of our community, clients may not photograph, record, film, livestream, or otherwise capture other clients, instructors, or staff without their permission. Recording or filming classes, instruction, or Studio programming without prior authorization from Studio management is prohibited.
14. Equipment Use
Studio equipment may only be used as instructed by Studio staff. Clients may not adjust, move, or use reformers, towers, chairs, springs, straps, props, or other equipment without authorization or instruction.
15. Packages, Credits and Expiration Dates
Class packages, credits, promotional offers, and introductory purchases must be used within the applicable expiration period stated at the time of purchase, in the Studio app, website, booking platform, or purchase terms. Expired credits, unused classes, missed classes, and non-attendance are not refundable unless required by law.
Monthly membership class allowances do not roll over from month to month. Any unused monthly membership classes expire at the end of the applicable billing cycle and are not refundable, transferable, or exchangeable for cash, account credit, retail credit, or future classes.
16. Refund Policy
All purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing by the Studio. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes, unused package credits, failure to attend, late cancellations, no-shows, expired credits, change of mind, relocation, or scheduling conflicts. Unused and unworn retail merchandise may be eligible for return or exchange within the period and conditions stated at the time of purchase.
17. Membership and Autopay Terms
Memberships and recurring plans are governed by the separate Membership, Autopay and Purchase Agreement and any purchase-specific terms presented at checkout.
Clients are responsible for understanding billing dates, cancellation requirements, freeze terms, additional class fees, and other membership-specific rules before purchasing.
18. Unpaid Balances
Accounts with unpaid balances, declined payments, unresolved chargebacks, or overdue fees may be restricted, suspended, frozen, or terminated until balances are resolved. The Studio may retry failed payments and may require updated billing information before allowing further bookings.
19. Introductory Offers and Promotions
Introductory offers are limited to first-time clients unless otherwise stated. Promotions may not be combined, transferred, shared, extended, or redeemed for cash unless expressly permitted. The Studio reserves the right to revoke promotional pricing, credits, or access if misuse is identified.
20. ID Verification and Payment Security
The Studio may request verification of identity, including government-issued photo ID, for account security, waiver verification, payment protection, fraud prevention, and chargeback response. Identification information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the Studio Privacy Policy and will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes.
21. Communication Responsibility
Clients are responsible for maintaining accurate email, phone, billing, and account information. The Studio is not responsible for missed communications, confirmations, reminders, receipts, waitlist notifications, or policy notices resulting from outdated, incorrect, blocked, or inaccessible contact information.
22. SMS, Email and App Communications
By providing contact information, clients may receive transactional communications related to bookings, purchases, waivers, account status, class reminders, schedule updates, and Studio operations. Marketing communications may be sent where permitted by law and may be subject to opt-out rights.
23. Closures, Emergencies and Force Majeure
The Studio may cancel, reschedule, close, or modify operations due to instructor illness, equipment issues, weather, power outages, emergencies, government orders, public health concerns, building conditions, repairs, maintenance, or other events beyond the Studio's control. Memberships, packages, and credits are not automatically extended or refunded for temporary closures, schedule changes, or events beyond the Studio's control, except where required by law or determined by the Studio in its discretion.
24. Technical Issues
The Studio is not responsible for app, website, internet, payment processor, messaging, or software issues that may affect booking, cancellation, purchase, waitlist, or account access. Clients should contact the Studio promptly for assistance if technical issues occur.
25. Termination or Suspension by Studio
The Studio may suspend or terminate access, cancel bookings, revoke privileges, or refuse service for policy violations, misconduct, unsafe behavior, harassment, unpaid balances, fraudulent activity, chargebacks, misuse of promotions, or other conduct deemed inappropriate by the Studio. No refunds will be issued for fees paid before termination except where required by law.
26. Modification of Policies
The Studio may update these policies at any time by posting updated policies on the website, app, booking platform, or by providing electronic notice. Continued use of Studio services after updated policies are posted or sent constitutes acceptance of the revised policies to the extent permitted by law.
27. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution and Attorney Fees
These policies are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these policies or use of Studio services shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions in the applicable Waiver, Membership Agreement, or purchase terms. The prevailing party in any action, arbitration, or proceeding may recover reasonable attorney fees and costs to the extent permitted by law.
28. Electronic Acceptance
Electronic acceptance, checkbox acknowledgment, app-based acceptance, continued booking, purchase, or attendance has the same effect as handwritten acceptance of these policies.
